Description

The pre-treatment section in a metal coating line is an essential part of the process that prepares the metal surface for coating. It is responsible for degreasing, and treating the metal surface to ensure proper adhesion of the coating material. The pre-treatment section typically consists of several stages, each with a specific purpose and set of equipment.

Stages in Pre-Treatment Section

  1. Surface Conditioning: In this stage, the metal surface is treated to improve its adhesion properties. This is performed by the Chemical Coater.

  2. Drying: In this stage, the Drying Oven helps ensure the chemical coating sticks to the metal strip. It also helps to remove any residual moisture from the Cleaning Section.
